I’m Iris Vukovic. I hold a master's degree in data science from the University of Barcelona and a bachelor's degree in mathematics from UC Santa Cruz.

My master's thesis compared different fairness methods for clinical tasks using the MIMIC-IV dataset. In it, I aimed to find a method that mitigates model bias while maintaining model accuracy and transparency. For the full project, you can visit this GitHub repo.

I'm interested in anything data science, but specifically the intersection of machine learning and healthcare, with a focus on responsible AI and human-centered approaches.
