I’m Iris Vukovic, a master's student studying data science at Universitat de Barcelona and currently working on my thesis to be completed by January 2026. My master's thesis is, broadly speaking, concerned with the implementation of machine learning models in the medical field and exploring the newly updated MIMIC-IV database, but more on that in the near future ;)
I have a bachelor's degree in mathematics from UC Santa Cruz and have been happily putting my theoretical foundations in pure mathematics to good use by pursuing the path of data science. I'm interested in anything data science, but specifically it's intersection with the medical field and how machine learning can contribute there.
