My boxer skirt. I had a pack of four plaid boxers I never wore. I cut them up and sewed them together. I love all the different plaids and I wear this skirt a lot. Keeping the waistband in tact was really crucial for me because I don't know how to do an elastic waistband yet. All hand-sewn.
This hat was borne of boredom and leftover yarn. I like interesting hats and I was stuck in bed with a cold scrolling on Pinterest. It's possible that I also subconsciously took inspiration from the teletubbies.
My rainbow skirt. I started this project shortly after learning to crochet. The unfinished skirt accompanied me and my friends and family on some long car rides and camping trips during the summer of its conception and finally travelled across the globe with me to Barcelona where I looped its final stitch that winter. All single crochets. Also makes for a great blanket.
I painted these jeans with acrylic paint a few summers ago. It was fun.
A custom journal I made as a new year's eve gift. I've never made something like this, so it was fun to experiment. I used some old pajama pants, cut them up, filled them with stuffing, and hot-glue-gunned them to the original cover. I thrifted these giant wood buttons a while ago. I painted some polka dots on them and sewed them onto the plushy cover to keep the book closed in a cute way. It's all imperfect and I like it.
